Off late we've had problems sporadically when signing on.

When I sign in, after "welcome" it comes up with "preparing your desktop". Then I have a little box on the bottom corner that says "your user profile was not loaded properly".

When this happens you have no access to any saved files or settings. The only way I've found to get around it is to restart the computer.

The last two days it has happened when the computer has been 'sleeping' all night and I sign on in the morning - have to restart it to make it work right.

Any suggestions?

Try rebooting and when your computer, wait 5 seconds and press F8 constantly until you see a screen with different options. Try booting your pc in "safe mode with network" and let your pc run its loading operation. Your screen may look odd at first but that is normal for the pc to run in safe mode. Then go in your browser and go to microsoft.com . Find downloads and updates, and select the update option and let your pc get scanned for a few seconds or minutes depending on your system. Once its done and it has found the updates neccessary for your pc, install them. It will take a while but after its done. Surely it will ask you to reboot your pc and let it run its course.

If this answer does not solve anything it may be a certain program or antivirus that is not allowing your pc to run smoothly. Look into microsofts customer service and call them to diagnose your issue.
